Introduction:
INLIGHT Solar pool heating system usually consists of four parts:
1. Solar collecting system (solar to be converted into thermal energy), all INLIGHT solar collectors can be used for solar pool water heating.
Solar collecting system is mainly for collecting solar irradiation and converting it into thermal energy. It consists of solar collectors, storage tanks, control systems and components such as pumps and pipelines. Solar collectors collect solar irradiation and convert it into thermal energy and store it as hot water in storage tank.
Thermal energy stored in tank in the form of hot water and it is used for:
a. Storing thermal energy from collector in the form of hot water;
b. Thermal exchange with the water in swimming pool.
c. Providing hot water for shower.
2. Water circulatory system (thermal energy to be transferred into the water in swimming pool), the system can be pressurized and non-pressurized with according solar collectors.
Water circulatory system is either an open-loop or closed-loop system circulating water between storage tanks and swimming pool through pipelines, pumps and heat exchanger, transferring stored thermal energy into water in swimming pool directly or indirectly.
3. Auxiliary heating system (assist pool water heating when insufficient solar energy), usually suggest boiler or heat pump for backup.
Auxiliary heating system is mainly for pool water heating assistance when insufficient solar energy presents. Because the solar collecting system cease to work in cloudy or rainy weather, and swimming pool water needs to be replaced from time to time, at the time auxiliary water heating system is needed.
4. Control system components (automatically control the whole circulatory system), INLIGHT industrial controller and pump workstation are the best choice for control the whole system.
The control system is mainly for:
1. Water circulation control for the whole system through setting the circulation value of temperature difference;
2. Automatic water refill into storage tanks.Economic Benefit Analysis:
Solar water heating for swimming pools, we have to analyze and calculate of the investment in equipments, the energy savings, so as to find the highest return on investment. According to our practical experience around 15 years, making use of solar energy for swimming pool heating is the most scientific and economical approach. The energy conservation is far greater than investment costs.Available daily energy a solar thermal system could gain is 446.3 MJ. In accordance with the value of diesel combustion 46.06MJ/kg, oil-fired boiler efficiency 92%, 15% pipeline heat losses, 461.2MJ equals to diesel burning in boiler: 461.2 / [46.06 * 0.92 * (1-0.15)] = 12.8kg. In other words, solar thermal system can save a daily diesel 12.8kg. In accordance with 300 sunny days a year as a basis, 3.84 tons diesel could be saved annually. The solar thermal system is designed to survive more than 10 year, a total of more than 38.4 tons diesel can be saved.
Calculating according to the market prices for diesel fuel, It is expected to recover the full investment within two years.
